Meetings @ The Geco Lounge

Our meeting room offers maximum flexibility whatever your requirements. Catering for groups up to 30 guests, The Geco Lounge’s experienced team is always on hand to answer any questions you may have and to advise you on what may be most suitable for your needs. If our packages do not exactly fit your requirements we can arrange a bespoke package and will help plan every detail of your event, from discussing choice of meals from our mouth watering menus, to ensuring you have all the necessary technical support and equipment at your fingertips.

Business Breakfast

Business Lunch

Catering for groups up 30 delegates, with a delicious two and three course menu or buffet, the Geco Lounge’s experienced team is on hand to answer any questions you may have and to advise you on what may be most suitable for your needs.

Costs

Our function room is available to you in several ways. You have the choice of spending a full day with us or simply a half day for those smaller or briefer meetings, and all prices are inclusive of Coffee and Tea.

Weddings @ The Geco Lounge

If you’re looking for an intimate wedding breakfast for your special day then we would be delighted to assist in making your day as fabulous as you wish. We have a selection of 2 exceptional 3 course menus for you to choose from, along with a mouth watering buffet selection for that more casual wedding breakfast or for an evening reception, and a range of drinks packages tailored to your needs for up to 35 guests.

In addition to your food and drinks, we can help you with any other finishing touches you feel will make your day extra special, from our selection of recommended suppliers providing your wedding flowers and table displays, to that all important wedding cake.

Private Dining

Our top floor function suite is also available to you for that important event. Whether you would like a private dining experience for family and friends, or you wish to celebrate a birthday or christening, then our intimate surroundings are perfect for you.

Your event can be as casual or refined as you wish, with our experienced silver service waiting team, cocktail barman and in house sommelier.

Although there is no room charge for your event, we do ask that for private dining between Sunday and Thursday there are a minimum of 20 guests in your party, and Friday to Saturday a minimum of 30 guests.

Private Parties

If you wish to use our function room for a private party or event, we are pleased to say that there is no room hire charge for this, however if your party falls on a Friday or Saturday after 6pm there is a standard room hire charge of £500.

If you would like to arrange food for your event, we are more than happy to help with this, and our chef can design a buffet menu, tailored to your requirements, from £8.95 per head.

We also have a range of drinks packages for your event, which can also be tailored to suit your personal requirements.

Terms & Conditions

The Geco Lounge accepts no responsibility for the death, bodily injury or disease arising from any cause whatsoever to persons visiting the premises, except for legal liability arising due to negligence of the owners, its servants, employees or representatives. The client hereby undertakes to indemnify the premises for any damage to the premises (or contents) whether or not owned by the Geco Lounge caused by the activities of any person attending the function. The client shall ensure that the client’s guests observe the high standard of behaviour and the Geco Lounge reserves the right to expel any guests behaving in a manner which it regards as detrimental to the standing of the business or likely to cause inconvenience or annoyance to other guests. In the event of expelling a guest it shall not be obliged to pay compensation to the guest, or client. The Geco Lounge also reserves the right to accept bookings at their own discretion.

Deposits
Once you have made a provisional booking, we will issue you with a booking sheet outlining the itinerary for your event. Your booking will be held for 7 days from the date of the provisional booking. On receipt of a signed booking sheet and a non-refundable deposit of 10%, your booking will be confirmed.

Can I change to guest numbers?
Yes certainly. However if the numbers are significantly reduced the cancellation charges below will be applied. If you give us over 7 days notice of a change of numbers, you are able to reduce by up to 20% without incurring a charge. Please note that for any private function, a minimum number of guests is requires and in most cases this will be 25 guests.
If you provide less than 7 days notice, the contracted numbers will be charged.
When do I pay the final balance?
After your initial deposit payment, the full payment of the balance will be due 7 days before your event date. The amount charged will be based upon your confirmed numbers. Once the full balance is received we are unable to refund any amount of this payment.

I would like to bring something to The Geco Lounge beforehand
Should you wish to bring any of your own equipment into The Geco Lounge, you must ensure that it has been tested and is safe to use. The Geco Lounge will not accept any liability for the equipment you bring and would ask you comply with the rules set out in the Health & Safety at Work Act. For any third party contractors visiting the venue (i.e. contractors) under your instruction, you must ensure current adequate "Public Liability Insurance" is in place. Copies of electrical testing certificates and insurance policies must be made available upon request.

Is there anything else I should know?
For certain events The Geco Lounge may charge a deposit of £500 against the cost of possible damage to the premises or its Property, which could occur during the course of the event. Should any damage occur to the venue during your event, then this deposit will be retained on account of the cost of such damage.
If you require us to recommend a supplier for anything, the bill must be settled by you directly, not by ourselves.
It is your responsibility to ensure the supplier fully complies with all regulations as outlined above.
If you are joining us for your wedding, we do not charge for room hire but if you wish to carry on your special day into the evening on either a Friday or Saturday, there is a standard £500 room hire fee after 6pm

General
The Geco Lounge shall not be liable for any loss or damage to property owned by, or in custody of the Client or his agents, employees or guests. Cars are parked at the risk of the owners and their guests.

Cancellations
Should you need to cancel your event, we have a cancellation charge in place in order to recuperate any costs incurred to us. These costs are dependent upon how close to the event you decide to cancel, as so the charges are as follows:
Date of cancellation: __7 Days___________48 Hours
Cancellation Fee: ______50%______________100%

Could my booking be cancelled?

In the unlikely event that we are forced to cancel your booking, you will be refunded any payments in full. After this The Geco Lounge will accept no other liability. The only reasons for The Geco Lounge cancelling your event would be:

• Any part of the venue is closed or unavailable due to events beyond our control

• The booking, or anyone associated with the booking might damage the reputation of The Geco Lounge
